Take part in 4 x 1 hour sessions, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday from 10 to 11 AM and from 2 to 3 PM daily.
Maximum number of 12 delegates per workshop. A pack of model ‘Simple Machines’ included for each delegate and prizes will be awarded for competition winners as part of the workshop.
Mark originally trained as a furniture maker then went on to retrain as a Teacher of Craft, Design and Technology working in a wide range of schools and educational settings in the UK for over 25 years. His motto is ‘to make learning fun’. He currently runs Creativity, Design and Production and Forest, School for All. Heather started her Engineering Career as an apprentice for British Rail at age 16. After progressing through a variety of engineering disciplines and roles her passion is developing individuals ‘to be thebest they can be’ and currently operates as a non-executive director for the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, as a Trustee of the IMechE and is a top 50 Woman Engineer 2019.
Together they have worked on a variety of projects over the last 15 years combining their skills and interests currently advocating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and working with children and families through Creativity, Design and Production at events and Festivals and getting back to nature with ‘Forest, School for All’ working mainly with their local community to benefit, health, wellness and wellbeing as well as helping to develop basic outdoor, life skills and to actively encourage an understanding of the natural world and environmental issues.
